I am going to try and make the reuinion this September. Hope to see all/any of you there. Please contact anyone you know that has not joined this site yet and lets see if we can get all the memebers of the class of 71 to join!

Also, if you have any pix of the 20th, 25th or 30th reuinion, let's see if John will post them!

Another cool site I have been visiting is http://www.marlowheights60sand70s.com/ Lots of good pix and check out the guest book!

Thanks for all your tireless - I doubt that very much! - work John!

Be cool!

Dave

Hi John,

I didn't see a place under "Missing Classmates" where I could inform you that Richard Hess is no longer with us.  He moved to Minnesota with his family right after we graduated.  The motor mounts in the car he was driving broke and it caused the car to veer off the road and hit a tree.  He was in a coma for about a week, I think it was, before he died.  We ran cross country together and were good friends with many great memories in the short time we call high school.  Thanks for all the work you've done getting this together!

Mike,

Post Classmates who past away under "In Memory" page.

"Missing Classmates" are Classmates without contact information, email or address, in the database, whereabouts and contact info unknown as of 30th reunion.

They could have past away, as I get notification they will get moved to "In Memory" page.

If another Classmate provides contact information I can update the Missing Classmate's profile.

John

Hey John,

Never really got to know you very well, however, thanks for trying to get us old ratbags together.  Gosh has it really been 40 years gone.  No wonder it is getting harder to get up out of bed in the morning.

Best, Crystal DePalma Edington

Nice to have a site for keeping in touch; the internet is great for finding  folks. Forty years...whew! Where did it go. Look forward to seeing some of you in Sept's reunion. I'm finally taking the vacation and "heading home." Many great memories intertwined in CHS and DC area. May God bless ya'll. Chip

Many thanks, John, for your efforts to get us all together after all of these years - also to those who've helped you!  I haven't been back to Maryland since the '01 reunion, so this will be special!

 John:

Thank you so much for all of the work you have done on our behalf....not only on this site, but for a fabulous reunion.  It was great seeing everyone, and I think we should all work hard to find more of our classmates for the next one!

Wayne:

Thanks for everything at Embassy last night and the slide show.  Great food and fellowship.  Nice to have Dr. Vest attend as well.  Perhaps we should have staged another 1963 style Temple Hills Beatles show for the crowd. :-)

Good Morning John,

Thank you for your efforts in organizing such a wonderful reunion for if it weren't for your efforts this wouldn't have happened.  It was great seeing our high school classmates that I hadn't seen in the last 20 to 40 years.  It was nice sitting next to Mr. Vest and dining with him.  The Embassy Suites was a great location in which to have the event.  The evening was just right.  My wish for you and everyone is for continued success and the Best that Life has to Offer.  I look forward to seeing everyone at our next one.

Sincerely,

John Sauer

What a nice reunion - really was nice to see all those who showed up on both nights. Thanks much John for all your work on the event and the web site.

I was hoping to see some some photos of my old friends at the reunion. I was unable to attend due to work considerations (we got a 14 boat order with short lead time and that's why I couldn't come) but would love to live vicariously though the photos and blogs. I would love to see Mr Vest as a guest member. I would love to tell him how my life has turned out. I saw him at the 20th and spoke to him and Mr. Smith for a few minutes. I would love to have that opportunity again! Please post some pictures!

Hey CHS alumni,

If you would be interested in attending a gathering near Orlando, FL, on March 31, please either email me (owensr1953@yahoo.com) or respond here.  Several of us are trying to finalize time and venue, so we need to know about how many are interested.  The invitation also extends to other CHS First 10 Years alumni.

Hope to see you there!

Hey all!

I hope this post finds you all well and comfortable after getting your driveways cleared - for those of you who still live up north - or any other Holiday activity you partake in this time of year!

The southern contingent of the Crossland Cavaliers continue to bask in the not-so-summer sun and reap the benefits of life down here.

Good cheer and happy holiday wishes go our to all of you and yours!

And remember, our parents came down here to Florida to play shuffleboard, our generation has come down here to play music!

Dave and Lori Fletcher,

Tampa Florida

I would like to know how many of our 1971 Class lives here in Florida. Apparently there are quite a few of us here and it would be nice to get together once in awhile.

 Thanks,

Hi folks - was just looking at Parv's posting of the 2014 Golf Tournament and enjoying the fall football air and wondered if it were possible to post a very old (Nov 1970) video of parts of a Crossland football game.  My Dad took this video.  I found it after he passed away and had it converted to digital before the 40th reunion.  I think a good number of people saw it there...but thought I would see if it would load on this site for posterity.  Hope it comes up for you.  If so....enjoy!  If not, regrets, but I have zero idea how to make it happen.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Scott Casto   https://picasaweb.google.com/papacasto/14Nov1970?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCKr5jN6vo_KRwwE&feat=directlink

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Carlos DiGiovani? He went to Temple Hills Elementary with me and years later I saw him playing bass in a local DC band. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all.  So, how much snow did you get from the Blizzard of 2016.  Down here in Hollywood, ( St. Mary's County) we got 13 inches.  Now I'm ready for spring smiley

We've got that beaten up here in Upperco, MD (Northern Baltimore County - about 14 miles from the PA border and the Mason/Dixon Line).  We had a whopping 25".  Here's a photo of the carnage!

I'm 600 miles north of y'all and the ground is bare here in NY, near Ontario and Quebec, Canada.

I'm in Huntingtown, Maryland we got 13 inches also.  Loved it!  It was so beautiful to watch it coming down as I was comfortably sitting in a chair in a warm house!

I'm live near Columbus, Ohio and we have only received about 7 inches all winter.  This morning we received 3 inches and they weren't even calling for it.  They were calling for rain.  I know that the east coast has received alot of snow lately, because I still have family that live there.
