With our 50th reunion approaching I wanted to make sure classmates had accurate memorial information for Sandy, so I reached out to her son, Nick Edwards (who is an amazing young man who I'm sure Sandy and his dad are extremely proud of!). In Nick's words: "Sandy Meinhold Edwards was an incredibly caring, compassionate, and loving mother and wife. Sandy courageously fought and won long battles with breast and cervical cancer before passing away from Pneumonia on 25 March 1998 at the age of 44."
Ken, thank you for sharing. I too remember Sandy for her vibrant and refreshing personality. After 50 years I don't remember specific interactions, but I do remember her beautiful smile and positive spirit when engaging in our day to day activities at Crossland.

Sandy was 56 years old when she died, way too young. She will be missed.
