David Jones 6/30/1953 - 1/25/2002. Saw the obit in the Washington Post and put on the Croossland alumni web site. Did not have that many classes with Dave, but he was a good guy and well liked.
I sat behind Donald in Mr Wheatley's homeroom every school day. He was a kind of quiet guy but I remember him as friendly and quick with a smile. I'm sad to hear that he has passed. I can picture his face as if he was here right now.
I fondly remember seeing Don at the thirty-year reunion. I remember talking with him and thinking what a friendly, interesting and big-hearted person he was. He was telling me during our conversatioln that that reunion would be the last one for him . . . the last time we would see him. I have thought of him often since then, as I am sure many of his classmates have. At this next reunion, we must propose a toast to him, and for that matter, to the rest of our classmates who have passed away, but who are still remembered fondly . . . and, not forgotten . . .
